Lyla visited her cardiologist at Valley Children's Hospital yesterday for a follow-up appointment. The news we received was expected. There is now significant blood flow moving through the large VSD that she has. So, the doctor has started her on Lasix and Lanoxin to help regulate her heartbeat and fluid retention in her lungs. These meds will help with the symptoms of congestive heart failure. Although, these meds will not cure her, the expectation is that they will make her more comfortable...we are hoping for the best! She also started the NG tube today and she just hates it. I am hoping that she gets used to it in the next couple of days!
